Location & Travel The Institute is located on the Lawrence Academy campus at 26 Powderhouse Road, Groton, Massachusetts. By air: Fly into either Boston Logan Airport (BOS) or Manchester New Hampshire Airport (MHT). Van service to the Academy is available, but it is usually more cost-effective to rent a car. From Boston and environs by car: Take I-495 to the Groton/Littleton Common exit, #31. Follow Rte. 119 west for 6.7 miles; Lawrence Academy is on your right just before the intersection of Rte. 40 and the center of Groton. Turn right just after the white school sign, and then bear right as you pass the First Unitarian-Universalist Church on your left. Visitor parking is on your left as you enter the Quad. From Boston Logan Airport by car: Bear left out of the airport onto the Expressway, through the tollbooth and Sumner Tunnel to downtown Boston. Take your second right after exiting the tunnel and follow signs to I-93 North, which you should take for approximately 20 miles to I-495 south. Follow directions in the paragraph above to Lawrence Academy. From Hartford, New York City and areas south by car: Take Rte. 84 north out of Hartford to Rte. 90 (Massachusetts Turnpike). Go east on the Mass Pike to I-495. Take I-495 north to the Groton/Littleton Common exit, #31. Follow Rte. 119 west for 6.7 miles; Lawrence Academy is on your right just before the intersection of Rte. 40 and the center of Groton. From Manchester, New Hampshire, Airport by car: Follow Airport Road out of the airport, and follow the signs for NH-101 west. You will be on Brown Avenue/NH3A. Merge onto 101W towards Bedford/Nashua. Take Everett Turnpike south toward Merrimack/Nashua and merge onto the Everett Turnpike (this is a toll road). Everett Turnpike will become US 3 as you cross the border into Massachusetts. Take the Route 40 exit towards Groton/Westford. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp. Follow Route 40 approximately nine miles. Lawrence Academy will be on your left. Visitor parking is on your left as you enter the Quad.
